Association of Indian Management Schools  is conducting its second ATMA  (AIMS Test for Management Aptitude) exam of the year  in May 2014. It is a national level MBA entrance exam which will be held in a computer based format. Though the last ATMA held in February was conducted in paper pencil based format, it is an objective type multiple choice question exam. ATMA is one of the 6 national MBA entrance exams recognized by AICTE and Ministry of HRD, 




  • The candidate must be a citizen of India.
  • The candidates should have possessed a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent examination under 10+2+3 scheme with any stream (B.A., B.Sc., B.Com, B.Tech), from any University recognized by Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.
  • The candidates, who are appearing in final year of qualifying examination or have appeared for the examination, are also eligible to apply for ATMA exam.


It is a computer based multiple choice question type exam.

Each question will have 4 choices or options from which candidates have to choose 1 correct option.

The duration of ATMA is 180 minutes or 3 hours.

There are 3 areas which are divided into six sections. This also means that each area will have 2 sections each.

The testing areas are Analytical Reasoning Skills, Verbal Skills and Quantitative Skills.

Each section has 30 questions, making the total number of questions 180.

Each correct question will have 1 mark and for each wrong answer, there is negative marking scheme of 1/3 marks.
