All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) is conducted to take admission into UG and PG courses in law offered by National Law University (NLU), Delhi. Candidates have to appear in AILET to take admission into undergraduate and postgraduate courses namely integrated BA, LLB, Ph.D and LL.M program.




  • For Five-Year B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) Program:
    • Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2 System) or equivalent Examination with 50% of marks.
    • The candidates appearing in the 12th standard examination in March/April, 2013 can also apply.
    • Age: Below 21 years as on 1 July, 2013 (23 years in case of SC/ST candidates).
  • For LL.M Program:
    • LL.B. or an equivalent Degree with 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/ Persons with Disability).
    • The candidates appearing in final LL.B. examination in April/May, 2013 can also apply.
  • For Ph.D Program:
    • LL.M. Degree with 55% marks or its equivalent (50% in case of SC/ST/ Persons with Disability).


  • The AILET entrance exam consists of 150 multiple-choice objective type questions and the duration of the exam is 1 hour and 30 minutes.
  • The question paper consists of the following test subjects and the marks distribution:

Application Procedure

  • You need to visit the official website.
  • When you are on the login page, click on register to Apply
  • You need to fill all the required details in the User registration Form.
  • After filling all the details, you need to check all the filled-in fields and click on the ‘Confirm’ button for confirming the registration details.
  • Now as you are redirected to the login page, there you will see ‘Application Locker’. Now you are required to click on National Law University from the list of the colleges provided there.
  • Choose to fill in the application form and click on Apply button.
  • Candidates must fill in all the required details of each section; otherwise the incomplete forms are liable to get summarily rejected.
  • After you fill in all the details in AILET 2014 application form, click on Submit button for saving the application form with filled-in details.
  • Again you will be redirected to Application locker page for proceeding to depositing application fees.
  • Now in the Application Locker page, you need to click on Make payment button, which is provided there in Pending Applications section. Here you will be required to choose for the application forms you intend to make payment for.
  • While you are redirected to Make Payment page as you click on the button, you should choose Mode of Payment and Verify the amount and afterwards click on Proceed.


National Law University, Delhi (University of Law), abbreviated as NLUD, is a specialised law university offering courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Popular estimates place the University as one of the finest law schools of India.
