Introduction

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is conducting Common Written Examination (CWE PO/MT) for the recruitment of Probationary Officer/ Management Trainee vacancies in Public Sector Banks which will be conducted online. Candidates, intending to apply for CWE PO/MT-III should ensure that they fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria specified by IBPS:

Eligibility

Nationality/Citizenship: A candidate must be either - 

(i) a Citizen of India or 

(ii) a subject of Nepal or

(iii) a subject of Bhutan or

(iv) a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or

(v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person inwhose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.



Age limit: Candidates minimum age limit is 20 years and maximum 28 years i.e. a candidate must have been born not earlier than 02-07-1985 and not later than 01-07-1993 (both dates inclusive).

Educational qualification: Degree with 60% marks in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. 


Computer Literacy: Operating and working knowledge in computer systems is mandatory i.e. candidates should have Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/Language/ should have studied Computer / Information Technology as one of the subjects in the High School/ College/ Institute.

  1. The paper had total five subjects but the allocation of marks is not equal as it is very clearly evident in the table above.
  2. The maximum of 50 marks are allocated to Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude sections.
  3. The second maximum scoring sections are English Language and General Awareness carrying total of 40 marks each.
  4. The least marks carried by is the last section which deals with the computer knowledge and it allocated 20 marks in the exam pattern of IBPS PO (MT) 2013.
  5. The total or composite marks on which the candidate appearing will be judged or tested in the IBPS2013 exam is 200 marks.
  6. There is no separate allocation of time given to each subject rather a total or composite time of 2 hours is given to candidate in order to attempt the IBPS 2013 exam.
  7. All the sections will be bilingual i.e in English and Hindi except English.s
  8. The nature of questions in the exam is objective.
  9. According to the IBPS PO (MT) 2013 Exam Pattern there is penalty for every wrong answer which means for every incorrect answer 0.25 marks will be deducted.
  10. If the question is left unattended by the candidate there will neither be deduction nor the marks will be granted.
