Introduction


Karnataka CET  is the state level common entrance test organized and conducted by Karnataka Examinations Authority, Government of Karnataka to admit students to medical and dental courses in Karnataka.However, only Karnataka students are allowed for KCET and the other aspirants may opt for COMEDK exam.

Eligibility

The applicant is required to pass Karnataka 2 PUC/12th standard or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subject and English with one of the languages of study. He/She must have secured 50% marks in aggregate.

Examination

The Karnataka CET 2014 exam will be held for two days in twosessions.

On the first day test will be conducted for Biology subjects and on second day test will be for Physics and Chemistry.

Each exam paper will have 60 objective questions carrying 1mark each.

Duration of exam will be 70 minutes but the candidates willget 80 minutes.

10 minutes will be given to fill the answer sheet.

There will be no negative marking in Karnataka CET 2014.

Candidates can take the carbon replica of their answersheets with them to evaluate with answer key released by exam authority lateron.

Application Procedure

Candidates can get the application forms from their concerned colleges of Karnataka.

They should affix their left hand thumb impression with the KCET 2014 Application Form.

Candidates shoud fill all the required details in this form and should submit it to the principal of their Colleges

Once submitting, candidates must collect their KCET 2014 Admit Cards from thier colleges on or before 20-4-2014 tentative.

Fees for general category is Rs. 650 and for SC, ST and OBC is Rs. 500.
Application Fee can be paid either by Cash or through Net Banking.

Applicants staying outside the Karnataka State including the Gadinadu and Horanadu applicants will have to first submit the form fee for KCET 2014 via NEFT transaction, then they will be sent the forms and brochure via email.
