Introduction

The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) has been constituted by the Government of Bihar in accordance with the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Act 1995. The Board presently conducts Combined Competitive Entrance Examinations (BCECE) for admission in Graduate level Vocational Courses in Engineering, Medical and Agricultural streams available in the Universities, Colleges and Institutions of the State of Bihar as well as those situated outside Bihar against State Quota seats.

Eligibility

Candidates must have attained the age of 17 years

Candidates must have passed 10+2 from a recognized stateboard

The candidates appearing for their board exam in 2014 arealso eligible

The candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry andBiology as subjects

Examination

Stage 1 of BCECE 

Paper will be of Multiple Choice Question type

Candidates opting for MBBS/BDS should attempt Biology

Exam Paper will have 200 questions out of which only 150questions are to be answered based on the opted course in application form

The questions will be from Physics, Chemistry and Biologysubjects

60 minutes for each section

Each section will carry 200 marks

Duration of exam is 2:15 hours

Four marks will be given for each correct answer and forevery wrong answer one mark will be deducted as per the negative marking schem

Stage 2 of BCECE 

The second stage of BCECE exam will be conducted for 3sections - Physics, Chemistry and Biology

The duration of each exam paper is one and half hours

It is compulsory for candidates to attempt Physics andChemistry paper

Candidates who applied for MBBS/BDS must attempt Biology

Each section carries 400 marks

There will be a total of 100 questions in each subject

Four marks will be given for each correct answer and forevery wrong answer one mark will be deducted as per the negative marking scheme

Application Procedure

Step 1: Online registration – After filling up the basic detail of candidate, a registration number and password will be generated. For any further communication the username of candidate will be its registration number

Step 2: Online procurement of bank challan (receipt) of BCECE 2014 – For obtaining bank challan candidates are required to visit the official website and click on the ‘Payment Submission’ link and enter registration number and password. After that they are required to take printout of three copies of the bank challan. The prescribed application fee must be submitted in designated branches of the State Bank of India.

Step 3: Exam Fee and Online Submission of Application Form –After depositing the fees, visit the official website and login by using userID and enter journal number provided by the bank. Then fill the other detailsof online application form and upload passport sized photograph and signature.Download online application form after final submission.

Step 4: Dispatch of Application Hard Copy – The hard copy ofthe filled in online application form, enclosures and bank receipt has to besent to BCECE office. This can be sent either though registered post or viaspeed post. Candidates must super scribe the application form envelope with thetitle APPLICATION FOR BCECE-2014. On the envelope candidates need to mentionthe group they have applied for (PCB) or (PCMB)
