Introduction


Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) is conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad on behalf of APSCHE. This examination is the prerequisite for admission into various professional courses offered in University/ Private Colleges in the state of Andhra Pradesh.

Eligibility

A Pass in intermediate examination or registered for intermediate public examination (10 + 2 ) conducted by the A.P. Board of Intermediate Education, with appropriate optional subjects or its equivalent.


(Starting in 2011, Non-residential Indian's and International students are not eligible to appear for this test. This is because of the requirement of exact statistics of the EAMCET test before decision of abolishing the test is made.)


In case of such students who appear for the entrance test, pending result of their qualifying examination, their entry shall be subject to their securing a pass in the said qualifying examination.


Candidates should belong to the State of Andhra Pradesh as defined in the A.P. Educational Institutions (regulations for admission).

There is no upper age limit for Medical and Engineering aspirants to take EAMCET.

Examination

Meduim of Language will be English or Telugu.

Candidates opting to write EAMCET 2014 in Urdu must appear for the exam at Hyderabad only.

Applicants will be tested in three subjects namely Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics.

EAMCET 2014 will comprise of 160 questions in total, 80 questions of Mathematics, 40 questions of Physics and 40 questions of Chemistry.
All questions in EAMCET 2014 will be Multiple Choice Questions carrying one mark each.

The duration of the Exam of EAMCET 2014 will be 3 hours.

Application Procedure

Candidates who have appeared for or are appearing for 10+2 exams other than Intermediate exam of AP have to upload their photograph and signature as follows

Photograph/Signature Specifications: for Non Intermediate students only

·Signature: Scanned Signature of the candidate must be in JPG format  with a file size of 15 KB only

·Photograph: Candidates must upload a recent passport size color photograph in JPG format with a file size of 30 KB only

·  Hall Ticket Number of Intermediate (2nd Year)/ 10+2 / equivalent
·  Stream Applied for (E), (AM), or Both (E&AM)
·  Date of Birth, Birth District, Birth Stateas per Birth Certificate / SSC or Equivalent
·  Certificate
·  Hall Ticket Number of SSC or Equivalent examination Certificate
·  Local Status (OU/AU/SVU/ Non-local) as per certificate issued by by MRO or Competent Authority
·  Income of Parents (Income Upto Rs.1.0 lakh or Upto Rs. 2.0 lakhs) as per Income certificate issued by MRO / Competent Authority
·  Study details : Study certificates from Class I to Intermediate / 10+2 / Equivalent
·  Category (SC, ST, BC, etc.) as per Caste Certificate issued by the MRO / Competent Authority
·  Special Category (NCC, PH, Sports, CAP,etc.) as per the Certificate issued by Competent
