Podiatry
Podiatry is a part of medical science that deals with the analysis and treatment of the lower leg, foot and ankle. A graduate who specializes in this field is known as a podiatrist. Podiatrists mostly advice patients to utilize appropriate curative devices, medicines and treatments for foot connected problems. They make people aware of many foot care practices and their importance.  They work to improve the imbalance and mobility of those who are suffering from leg pain, wounded ankles and feet.

Podiatrists are quite often known as doctors of podiatric medicine (DPMs).  DPMs analyze and treat disorders, injuries and diseases of the lower leg and foot. They diagnose and deal with different problems associated with feet of children  and aged people. Currently, podiatrists who are experts in geriatrics and sports medicine are in huge demand.Other duties of podiatrists comprise of designing tailored shoes and plaster casts for deformities.

Basic Eligibility

UG:

For admission in bachelor’s degree, the candidate must have passed the higher secondary school certificate (10+2) examination with science subject such as (biology, maths and chemistry). The duration for this course is 3 years.

PG:

The eligibility criteria for pursuing a master’s degree is holding a bachelor's degree with science subject such as biology, maths and chemistry. The duration for this course is 2 years.
