Basic Eligibility

UG:

For admission in a bachelor’s degree, the candidate must have passed the higher secondary school certificate (10+2) examination with science subject such as biology, maths and chemistry. For IITs, It is mandatory to qualify in the Joint Entrance Examinations (J.E.E).  The duration for this course is 4 years.


PG:

The eligibility criteria for pursuing a master’s degree are holding a bachelor's degree in (B.E/B.Tech) or any other equivalent branches of engineering. The duration for this course is 2 years.

Architecture engineering is one of the top career choices made by students in India. There are multiple opportunities in this field for architects equally in private and public sectors. Skilled professionals can seek employment in government organizations such as city development, state and central public work, departments, municipalities, housing and urban development corporation. The most advantaged scope in the field of architecture is private practice. After gaining some experience in an organization, the architects can set up their own company.

Professionals in this career can also opt for teaching jobs in universities and colleges. A skilled architect, to work as a consultant or to set up private practice, should register with the council of architecture before beginning their profession. The council of architecture constituted by the government of India is charged with the responsibility to regulate the education and practice of profession throughout India besides maintaining the register of architects. Remuneration: -

Engineer in trainee level can expect income around Rs. 10000 - 12000 every month. Within a short span of time, the salary can go up to Rs.15000 - 20000 every month depending upon the experience and the work. In government sectors, the pay scale is not rewarding as the private sector. Architects practicing through their own organizations could earn a lot, and this could be from thousands to lakhs. Consultants charge somewhere around 4 - 10 percent of the total cost of construction in case of apartments and multi storied buildings.
